reliable manner. Propy.com and Mycoinrealty.com are the world’s best-known inter

national real estate sales sites that accept payments in cryptocurrencies to purchase

real estate.

2.8.3  Education

The education sector has also pioneered the use of cryptocurrencies and is one of

the markets that are expected to use cryptocurrencies more widely in the future.

The role of educational institutions, especially universities, in the acceptance of

cryptocurrencies is quite high in the eyes of society. Most of these institutions sup

port this technological innovation as part of their mission. Educational institutions

that prefer blockchain-based technologies in subjects such as diplomas, certifi

cates, and transcripts accept cryptocurrencies in all kinds of payments. Accepting

cryptocurrencies provides a significant convenience and cost advantage, especially

for international students. Some universities in Switzerland, the United States,

Germany and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have been pioneers in this

field.

2.8.4  Charity and Donation Transactions

Among the areas where blockchain technology and cryptocurrency innovation pro

vide important facilities are charities and donation campaigns. Corruption in these

institutions and organizations leaves people hesitant to donate. With blockchain

technology and cryptocurrencies, it can be easily observed where the money is com

ing from and where it is collected, how it is distributed and who has access. With the

use of these technologies, donors can follow the process in a very transparent way,

and if they wish, they can deliver the donation they want directly to the needy with

out the need for any intermediary. The World Food Programme currently provides

good examples of these processes.

2.8.5  Supply Chain

It is generally accepted that the use of cryptocurrency in supply chain sectors such

as transportation, logistics or material supply provides and will provide very impor

tant advantages. It is even possible to develop and use specialized cryptocurrencies

for supply chains. The use of cryptocurrencies in the process accelerates the pro

cess, reduces costs and makes it easier to find solutions with indelible and unchange

able records. It is known that big companies such as JD.com, Alibaba, Provenance,

Walmart and Toyota have tried the use of blockchain technology and cryptocurren

cies in their procurement processes. There is also a cryptocurrency specially pre

pared for supply chains, called VET.

As stated before, there are many areas and markets where cryptocurrencies are

used and are expected to be used. It is not possible to address all of them here.

However, a few more examples can be given. For example, companies such as
